These sliding window locks are constructed of extruded aluminum and come in a zinc-plated finish. They feature improved tightening capabilities with the plastic wrench which aids in securely locking of windows in closed or ventilating positions. These locks include a steel thumbturn fastener and a large plastic wrench for easy tightening, and less strain on fingers and wrist. Locks of this type are easy to install and are used by many to increase the security of their home. Note: The design of this lock is manufactured to fit on older style, metal framed windows – usually of single pane glass, and they will not work with modern windows of vinyl construction. For vinyl windows consider using Prime-Line model numbers U-9809 or U-10547.
